2025 Ford F-150 Engine Specs & Towing
There are six potent engines available for the 2025 Ford F-150, each uniquely qualified to handle specific worksite, towing, or off-roading tasks. The 2.7L EcoBoost® V6, 5.0L Ti-VCT V8, and 3.5L EcoBoost V6 can each be equipped to the base trim, depending on the other configuration options you select when building out your F-150. Of these starter engines, the 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 can tow more, while the 2.7L EcoBoost V6 has excellent power. If you’re looking to tow the maximum that the 2025 F-150 is capable of, the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 can tow up to 13,500 pounds. For improved performance capabilities, have a look at the available 3.5L PowerBoost® full hybrid V6 engine, which can tow up to 11,200 pounds.
Finally, at the top of the F-150 engine lineup sit two engine options exclusive to the Raptor® trim. These are the high-output 3.5L EcoBoost V6 and 5.2L supercharged V8.
